This presentation, entitled Leveraging GPT-4O for Prompt-based Conversational Machine Translation (PCMT), is part of the AI Playground, an event organised by Hong Kong Baptist University, from the 29th of October to the 8th of November 2024.

I demonstrated different ways to leverage GPT-4O for prompt-based conversation machine translation (PCMT), which is the process of utilising prompts to interact with chatbots in order to generate machine translations or interlingual adaptations of specific textual or audiovisual content.

Via PCMT, translator-users can combine certain tokens to craft a translation-related prompt, that a chatbot processes to then provide a translation-related output (Moreno García & Mangiron, 2024, p. 3)
